The City of Ocala offers a FREE business class specifically tailored to the small business community and helping you learn to start, grow, or adapt your business to today’s market and your needs. Speakers and leaders in all professions pertaining to entrepreneurship will come and share their knowledge. This is a FREE RESOURCE, but you must fill out the DSBE Application to attend.
DSBE POLICY OVERVIEW
The purpose and objective of this program is to provide minority, woman and veteran owned businesses (DSBE businesses) with targeted opportunities to participate in the City’s contracting and procurement process and to facilitate a level playing field for diverse, small business enterprises.
DSBE APPLICATION
As a member of the DSBE, you will have access to workshops and other opportunities to interact with the City’s Procurement Department and other DSBE members, learn procedures and policies for submitting bids, proposals and invoices; and attend and participate in trade fairs and community events.
SBA POWERPOINT
The SBA is the go-to resource for access to capital, valuable resources, business know-how, and the right expertise for every stage of your business lifecycle. The SBA helps with free business counseling, guaranteed business loans, as well as, other opportunities to support us as women owned businesses.
CITY SURPLUS
The City of Ocala auctions surplus items to the public on a weekly basis.
This is a silent auction. Items will be awarded to the highest bidder at auction closing.
Surplus bids are due every Wednesday by 2:00 PM EST.
